Once the “Blue House” of Frida Kahlo and her husband, Diego Rivera, the home is now a museum open to visitors and remains one of the most popular spots for tourists and art lovers alike.
Gaby’s grandmother (Abuelita Lulú) grew up just a few blocks away. She loved telling stories about walking to school and seeing Frida painting on her balcony beside, in her words, “that fat man” — Diego Rivera.
It’s almost always busy, so be sure to purchase tickets in advance.
A must every time Gaby goes back to visit.
Coyoacan is a place of great folklore and delicious food! But please watch out, sensitive-stomach-friends.
Local artists sell their work here, making it a perfect spot to pick up small, meaningful souvenirs.
Coyoacán has always held a special place in Gaby’s heart, filled with memories from childhood through the years before she moved to Vancouver. It was one of the very first places she took Diko when he visited Mexico City for the first time.
Fantastic views of Mexico City.
Also one of Diko's favourite words to say in Spanish: CHAPULTEPEC
A great museum to visit. Close to Chapultepec's Castle as well.
