Itinerary / Itinerario

Our venue, Casa Xipe, is a beautiful garden setting, but rest assured the space is covered in the unlikely event of rain. We want everyone to look their best without sacrificing comfort—we have a full day of celebration planned and want you to enjoy every moment! Women: Midi or floor-length dresses. We love a floral print! Please keep in mind that the venue features pavers and turf, so you may want to opt for block heels or wedges. Men: Suits are preferred, though ties are optional. We want you to feel sharp but comfortable! We aren’t sticking to a particular color scheme, so pick whatever works best for you.

Nuestra celebración será en el jardín de Casa Xipe, pero no se preocupen por el clima; el lugar cuenta con carpas en caso de lluvia. Queremos que todos luzcan espectaculares sin sacrificar la comodidad, pues hemos planeado un gran día de fiesta y queremos que lo disfruten al máximo. Mujeres: Vestido midi o largo. ¡Los estampados florales son bienvenidos! Tomen en cuenta que el lugar tiene adoquines y pasto sintético, por lo que recomendamos elegir calzado cómodo (como tacones anchos o plataformas). Hombres: Traje completo, pero el uso de corbata es opcional. ¡Queremos que se vean elegantes pero que estén cómodos! No vamos a seguir un esquema de colores en particular, así que elijan lo que mejor les funcione.

We can't wait to celebrate with you! We’ve selected the hotels below because they are all located on the same central avenue, offering easy access to the best of the city. To make your night even easier, we are arranging for vans to provide transportation from the venue back to these hotels at the end of the night.

Coyoacán (Centro) &amp; Del Valle: These areas are closest to the venue and offer a more traditional, residential feel with easy access to local markets, shopping malls, and a variety of great restaurants. We’ll be staying in this area ourselves! A Note on TrafficPlease keep in mind that while distances may look short on a map, Mexico City traffic can be unpredictable and quite chaotic (especially on weekends!). We recommend choosing your area based on the sights you most want to see to minimize your time in transit. Close to the venue and Gaby's heart

The former home of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera is a must-see in Coyoacán. Gaby’s grandmother, Abuelita Lulú, grew up just blocks away and often told stories about walking to school and seeing Frida painting on her balcony with Diego nearby. While the world remembers a legendary muralist, Abuelita Lulú referred to Frida's husband simply as 'ese viejo panzón' (that big-bellied old man). Because of its popularity, tickets sell out quickly—please be sure to book in advance!

Frida Kahlo Museum

A must-visit every time Gaby goes back home. Coyoacán is full of folklore, vibrant colors, and delicious food! It’s a classic Mexico City experience, though we do recommend that our sensitive-stomach friends proceed with a little extra caution when trying the street snacks.

Coyoacan Market

This market is filled with local artists selling their work, making it the perfect spot to pick up meaningful, handcrafted souvenirs. Coyoacán has always held a special place in Gaby’s heart, from her favorite childhood memories to her final days in Mexico before moving to Vancouver. It was one of the very first places she shared with Diko during his first visit to the city, and we hope you find it just as charming as we do.

The only royal castle in North America, offering some of the best views of the city. It’s a must-visit for the history, the gardens, and the fact that it’s one of Diko’s favorite Spanish words to say: Chapultepec!

Chapultepec Castle

Located in Chapultepec Park, this world-class museum covers thousands of years of Mexico’s history and culture. It houses the largest collection of ancient Mexican art, including the famous Aztec Sun Stone, within a building that is an architectural masterpiece in its own right.

Museo Nacional de Antropología

An impressive archaeological site and museum located just steps from the main square. It offers a unique look at the ancient Aztec foundations upon which modern Mexico City was built.

Templo Mayor Museum

This is Mexico City’s premier opera house and art museum. It is centrally located and a perfect starting point for exploring the historic downtown area (Centro Histórico).
